Dear Landmark MD Patients, 

After 33 wonderful years practicing family medicine in Gaston County, the time has come for me to retire from medical practice. 

This decision comes with many emotions — gratitude, humility, pride, and certainly some sadness. Caring for patients and families throughout these years has been far more than a profession to me; it has truly been a calling and one of the greatest honors of my life. 

I began my career at Riverwood Medical Associates, where I had the privilege of serving the community for 22 years. For the past 11 years, I have continued that journey at Landmark MD. Throughout these decades, I have been blessed to care for thousands of patients, many across multiple generations of families. The trust you placed in me to care for your health and the health of your loved ones is something I have never taken for granted. 

As I step away, I do so with tremendous optimism for the future of Landmark MD. I am proud to hand over the practice to Dr. Kaul, a talented, highly energetic family physician who attended medical school at East Carolina University and completed his residency training at Atrium Health in Charlotte. His vision is to continue the patient-centered care and relationships that have always been the foundation of this practice while expanding services and making Landmark MD better than ever.  

Dr. Kaul will assume the practice the first week of August, and I will assist him through the transition. I know the practice will be in excellent hands, and I am excited for all that lies ahead for both Dr. Kaul and the patients of Landmark MD. 

To all of you — thank you. Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, your friendship, and for allowing me to walk alongside you through so many seasons of life. The relationships formed over these years have meant more to me than words can adequately express. 

Serving this community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I will always carry these memories with deep appreciation and affection.
